Tense:- Present Perfect Continuous Tense

                                     

-> The tense which shows that something had started in the past and is continuing at the present time or just finished now in the present time is known as Present Perfect Continuous Tense. It is also known as the Present Perfect Progressive Tense.

     It usually emphasizes the amount of time in which an action has been taking place.

e.g. वह 3 घंटे से डांस कर रही है।

    - She has been dancing for 3 hours.

        सुबह 8 बजे से बारिश हो रही है।

   - It has been raining since 8 am.

पहचानने का नियम

-> इन वाक्यों के अंत में रहा है, रही है, रहे हैं, रहा हूँ, रहे हों, (इतने समय से) आदि आता है। 

Note- If past time expressing words aren't given in the sentences then those sentences will be kept under Present Continuous Tense.

for e.g. वह 3 घंटे से डांस कर रही है। - Present Perfect Continuous Tense

           वह डांस कर रही है। - Present Continuous Tense

Formats

* For Affirmative Sentences 

-> Sub + has/have + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference

e.g. वह 3 घंटे से हमारा काम कर रहा है।

   - He has been doing our work for 3 hours.

     मैं 9 बजे से पढ़ रहा हूँ।

  - I have been reading since 9 o'clock.

* For Negative Sentences 

-> Sub + has/have + not + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference

                                       or 

-> Sub + hasn't/haven't + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference

e.g. वह दो घंटे से मेरा काम शुरू नहीं कर रही है।

    - She has not been starting my work for two hours.

      पिछले साल से बारिश नहीं हो रही है।

    - It hasn't been raining since last year.

* For Interrogative Sentences 

-> Has/Have + sub + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference + ?

e.g. क्या वह सोमवार से मेरा काम शुरू कर रही है?

    - Has she been starting my work since Monday?

      क्या वे 4 घंटे से उपन्यास पढ़ रहे हैं? 

   - Have they been reading novels for four hours?

* For Interrogative-Negative Sentences 

-> Has/Have + sub + not + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference + ?

                                     or

-> Hasn't/Haven't + sub + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference + ?

e.g. क्या वह दो घंटे से मेरा काम शुरू नहीं कर रही है?

    - Has she not been starting my work for two hours?

      क्या वे कल रात से सो नहीं रहे हैं?

    - Have they not been sleeping since last night?

      क्या वह सोमवार से पुस्तक नहीं पढ़ रहा है?

    - Hasn't he been reading the book since Monday?

* For Wh-word Sentences 

-> Wh-word + has/have + sub + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference + ?

e.g. पिछले आठ घंटों से बारिश क्यों हो रही है?

    - Why has it been raining for the last eight hours?

      मेरा भाई मंगलवार से क्या कर रहा है?

    - What has my brother been doing since Tuesday?

* For Wh-word Negative Sentences 

-> Wh-word + has/have + sub + not + been + V₄ or V₁ + ing + Obj + Time reference

e.g. वे 1 घंटे से मेरा काम क्यों नहीं कर रहे हैं?

    - Why haven't they been doing my work for one hour?

      मैं दो दिनों से क्यों नहीं सो रहा हूँ?

    - Why have I not been sleeping for two days?
